About this Club

Year-round sport and social club with members all over the country. Founded in 1949 by skiers wishing to share their experiences and to help develop recreational skiing in the Western U.S.

Social events are as important as sports and have included travel, theater, parties of all kinds, camping, cards, tea parties, beerfests, etc. etc. etc.

We support the Los Angeles Council of Ski Clubs and the Far West Ski Association. Currently we develop one or two week-long out-of-state ski trips each year and ski in Southern California and Mammoth and Tahoe.

Area Served

Meets in Pasadena, CA but members live throughout southern California and beyond. Our sister ski club is Grindelwald, Switzerland and we visit and communicate with them on a regular basis.

Meetings

We meet the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 7 PM (6 PM for dinner) at Burger Continentall Restaurant, 535 South Lake (Lake at California), Pasadena, CA .

Memberships

Application form with annual dues required. Annual fees:
Single membership $30 -- Couple/family $50
Club membership is required to participate in out-of-state ski trips.

Trips & Events

Holiday parties, ski trips (domestic and international), camping, theater parties (including Hollywood Bowl), service auction, bridge,... or anything that comes to mind, i.e., chili-cook-offs, etc.
