About Seniors Alpine Ski Club

The Club organizes day ski trips to local ski areas and inexpensive multi-day tours for members to more distant ski resorts. It offers ski improvement programs, ski racing training, an active social program, a monthly newsletter "Ski Chatter", and discounts at selected ski stores. Area Served

Membership is worldwide, but mainly from Alberta. Regions skied include Alberta, British Columbia, Idaho, Montana, Colorado, Utah.

Meetings

During the ski season, members meet for skiing at Canada Olympic Park (in Calgary) on Tuesdays, and at Nakiska (in Kananaskis Country in the Rockies) on Wednesdays.

Memberships

Minimum age requirement is 55 years. Anual membership fee is $25.

Trips & Events

Day ski trips are offered weekly in season. Typically, eight or nine multi-day trips are run each ski season. Social events include fall and spring dinner/dances, potluck dinners, and a summer barbecue and golf tournament. Car-pooling is organized to ski hills in the Calgary area.
