About Corbeau Ski Club

Corbeau is one of the affiliated ski clubs in The National Brotherhood of Skiers (NBS). The NBS is a non-profit organization (501 C-2) that unites predominantly black ski clubs under a national banner. Corbeau makes every effort to provide quality ski trips to various locations, giving experienced skiers an opportunity to meet other skiers who also enjoy the sport, and create an atmosphere for individuals who wish to learn to ski in a supportive environment.

Perfect North Slopes in Lawrenceburg, IN, is the home base for the adult and youth programs. The Corbeau Youth program has three main ski activities: (1) Learn-to-Ski -- Our focus is to introduce minority youth to the sport of skiing by offering ski packages at a discount. (2) Ski racing -- We select the most skillful skiers for race training and enter them in sesveral youth race events throughout the Midwest Region. (3) B.E.S.T. Program (Building Essential Skills and Talents. The BEST Program's primary goal is to develop essential (non-skiing) skills and talents. Our youth chapter provides a schedule of cultural, educational, and recreational activities to support the BEST Program. In addition, Corbeau also schedules a number of one-day recreational family ski outings to nearby slopes.
