Primetime’s members ski at all levels with about 70-80% on blues or single black diamonds at any given time. A few cruise the greens and a few others explore double blacks. A couple are PSIA certified current or former instructors; several are Maine Handicapped Skiing (MHS) qualified trainers, and some ski with the Black Diamond Club on weekends. Our membership comes from all over, though most call New England home and most live near or on mountain all winter. Our youngest member is 50ish and our eldest are two young ladies of 86 and 87, both whom ski nearly every day.

Members join Primetime for other reasons too. Some join for the social aspects of skiing with friends and getting to know new people. Some like lunch with others, and going to various ad hoc engagements. Many attend the scheduled events like plays in Portland or Auburn, guest speakers, and GO50 week. Many others like the four winter potluck dinners, the wine tasting dinner, and the year end dinner-dance. Many participate in the organized trips to other local mountains such as Saddleback and/or Sugarloaf (overnight), Loon (overnight) and Wildcat (day trip). Each winter we also schedule a trip west to one of the higher mountains, such as this season’s trip to Beaver Creek/Vail February 2-9, 2011.
