About SAGA - Gay Ski and Snowboard Club of LA
SAGA Ski and Snowboard Club was organized in 1975 by a transplanted group of gay skiers from Utah that missed the fun of skiing in Southern California. From the first days of the club, members included a mix of guys from LA, Orange County, and Long Beach. Over the years the club has organized 6 to 10 ski and snowboard trips each season to a variety of resorts in the western US and Europe for its 150—200 members.Destinations include Mammoth, Aspen, Tahoe, and Utah. Our most popular trips are the Mammoth bus trips, complete with meals, cocktails and films en route and group meals in the Condos. We also offer “caravan” trips to Mammoth, where we leave the driving to you. As a non-profit organization, our ski and snowboard trips are reasonably priced and tailored to the desires and preferences of our members.
The club is an all volunteer effort, and run by a group of officers elected by the membership each year. The officers are President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Mammoth Trip Planning, Out of state Trip Planning, Marketing, Membership, Communications and Social/Recreation. Our non-profit status helps to keep our trip prices and membership dues affordable as well as fun.

Connect with gay skiers and snowboarders at Vertigo. Come learn about membership, upcoming trips and social events! It’s a great way to hangout with SAGA members and build new friendships. Bring a friend or two... all are welcomed. This season there will be Vertigo Club Meetings to be held in Los Feliz, West Hollywood, Long Beach, and Orange County. We have five trips a year to Mammoth, CA. This includes for the world renown Elevation: Mammoth. Two of our trips are bus trips for a long weekend. Bus trips include a Luxury coach ride each way with en route: Cocktails & Beverages; Snacks & Box meal; Movies; and more.We also include "out of state" trips that include Aspen Gay Ski Week, Telluride Gay Ski Week, Out Board in Crested Butte, Utah, and international adventures.
