About Polecat Ski and Sports Club
Our club was founded in the 1950's when a group of friends got together, bought a house in N.H. and formed the ski club to make skiing more affordable and accessible to more people. We are part of a larger group called the Eastern-Inter Club Ski League (EICSL.org). About 25 ski clubs belong to EICSL and each one is a little different. The Polecats are laidback, easy-going and only want to enjoy the outdoors and the skiing/snowboarding. Our favorite mountains are Attitash and Wildcat, and we take day trips to other mtns. too. EICSL organizes several bigger trips each season and the Polecats also like to take their own trip each year.
The atmosphere at the house is very friendly and fun. There isn't a long list of house rules, we just respect each other and our environment. All members/guests must be 21 or older, members range from 20's to 60's. Most are single and in their thirties. In the winter our activities revolve around skiing and socializing. We have ski and snowboard race teams for all skill levels, even beginners!
When there's no snow on the ground we do lots of other things: softball and basketballl teams, hiking trips, kayaking and tubing on the Saco River, bar crawls in Boston. We are a pretty open, easy-going group, just having a good time! If you are reasonably sane, not into too much drama and can chuckle at a good joke then you'll fit in fine.
