About MOAA Ski Club
The MOAA Ski Club is organized under the Albuquerque Chapter of MOAA (Military Officers Association of America). One is not required to have any relationship with the military to join. Membership in the MOAA Ski Club requires that dues be paid to both the Ski Club and the Albuquerque Chapter of MOAA. The annual dues for the Ski Club are $10 per person or $20 per family. The dues cover the period of Oct. 1 to Sept. 30.Membership the Albuquerque Chapter of MOAA is a little more complex. Membership in the Albuquerque Chapter is required for only one member of the family (the sponsor). There are several categories of membership each with different dues.
Regular Members: men and women who are serving or have served on active duty or in one of the National Guard or reserve components as a commissioned or warrant officer in one of the seven U.S. uniformed services. Dues $24 per year (plus $2 initial entrance fee) Auxiliary Members: widows and widowers of any deceased individuals who would, if living, be eligible for membership. Dues $12 per year (plus $2 initial entrance fee) Associate Members: others who support the purposes of MOAA but would otherwise not be eligible for membership and who wish to regularly participate in one or more of the MOAA activities. Dues $15 per year
Membership in the Chapter runs from January 1 to December 31.
The Ski Club is all-volunteer with no payroll. Our primary focus is downhill skiing, with several trips per year. Any profit realized from any trip, since we are a 501(c)(3) TAX-EXEMPT, publlic charity, is placed in the Chapter's Giving Program.
