About Club Ski 30

Club Ski 30 exists to provide its membership with a unique opportunity to enjoy the social and economic benefits that are available when many skiers combine their love of skiing and their significant buying power.

Ski trips to a variety of locations throughout the USA, Canada, and Europe are organized each year; as well as a variety of off-season events to maintain fitness and fun when the snow is gone. Though we are a ski club, we have social activities 12 months a year

Area Served

While the majority of our membership comes from the Halifax-Dartmouth area of Nova Scotia; we have a small contingent from the Annapolis Valley (in Nova Scotia), as well as members from New Brunswick, Ontario, and even a few international members from Maine!

Meetings

Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month at the Brightwood Golf & Country Club, in Dartmouth. The social starts at 7:00 pm, with the meeting beginning at 7:30. A former member of the Las Vegas Ski Club introduced us to "TGIFs", and we meet on the third Friday of every month at various bars and pubs around town, to socialize and grab a bite to eat afterwards.

Memberships

Membership runs between 300 and 350 annually. All work within the Club is completed by volunteers, and all events operate on a user-pay basis, which enables us to keep the annual membership dues to a very modest level. Club members are free to innovate and set up events with others who may share special goals or interests within the organization.

Trips & Events

We usually run seven to ten ski trips "away" annually, with a couple of "local" weekend trips, and lessons are provided at a discount locally. Other activities include tidal bore rafting, camping, car rallies, windsurfing, skydiving, kayaking, tennis, golf, cycling, curling, horseback riding, billiards, wine tours, and more!
