With some of the most stunning and challenging big-mountain terrain, Aspen Highlands just keeps getting better. Look for expanded terrain in the Deep Temerity area – that’s a bonus on top of the 220 acres which was already added over the last several seasons. Canopy Cruiser, located to the right of Steeplechase and below Hyde Park, offers 18 acres of gladed skiing/riding. Also not to be missed: Take a snowcat ride to the ridge where you can hike up and drop into the Highland Bowl for the ultimate in-bounds backcountry experience.

What's New This Season at Aspen Highlands
Last season the recently renovated Merry-Go-Round restaurant opened. Situated mid-mountain at Aspen Highlands, the $6 million dollar major remodel at the end of the 2010/2011 ski season repaired and reused the existing building turning it into a highly efficient facility. The focus was to enhance guest comfort and food quality, while maintaining the strong appeal to both locals and visitors. The interior design concept is a“duct tape chic,” which keeps the atmosphere fun, local-friendly, historic, relaxed, unpretentious and welcoming.
