Everett Kircher founded Boyne Mountain in 1947. This Bavarian style resort is located in the northwest lower peninsula of Michigan in Charlevoix County, about 250 miles north of Detroit and 17 miles south of Petoskey on US-131. As the Midwest’s premier four-season resort, Boyne Mountain offers snowsports, championship golf, the largest indoor waterpark in Michgan, world-class spa, lodging, dining, meeting facilities, a variety of outdoor activities and real estate opportunities. What's New This Season at Boyne Mountain Resort

This winter, Boyne Mountain has installed state-of-the-art snowmaking control systems that streamline management of the resort's colossal snowmaking fleet. And that’s just the start of what’s new. At Boyne Mountain, the 2014/15 season also brings two new ziplines, concessions at the Tubing Park, lively après ski parties, new Junior pricing and online ticket sales at Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark, expanded lift hours on Disciples II, improved lighting on McLouth, new features in the Burton Riglet Park and new Nordic signage, plus more rental equipment.
