About Pole Mountain Trails
The Medicine Bow Nordic Association's goal is to provide high-quality, groomed cross-country ski trails from the Tie City trail head at Happy Jack and to provide events and activities that promote cross-country skiing in the area.
MBNA is a non-profit organization supported by its members, other community contributors, and grants. Memberships and donations are vital for covering administrative costs such as insurance, mailings, and the web site where we post information about trail conditions and events. They also help pay for grooming of the ski trails, which is done entirely by MBNA. Skiing on groomed trails at other Nordic areas in the region costs at least $10/day. We encourage you to compare the quality and ease of skiing at Happy Jack to the low MBNA membership dues and make a contribution in addition to your membership.
