About Windblown Cross Country Skiing
Just sixty miles from Boston, in the rural rolling hills of New Hampshire’s Monadnock Region, is one of New England’s premier cross country ski centers. Now in the 35nd season, Windblown is enjoying a new Base Lodge. Built by hand with wood from the land, it provides warmth, food and comfort in handsome country style. Two Pisten Bully Snowcats provide state-of-the-art grooming.
Twenty-five miles of ski trails beckon to be explored by all levels of skiers. Snowshoers have 4 ½ miles of trails to themselves and are welcome to use all the ski trails as well. Tour through open fields and wooded valleys, over a small mountain and beside three ponds. Share the beautiful views with a friend. The trails are groomed with tracks and skating lanes by state-of the-art grooming machines. A Warming Hut located deep in the woods is available for day use and overnight lodging. A Waxing Shed, Picnic Shed, Sugar Shed and three trail shelters complete the picture.
