About Steamboat

Seven thousand feet up in the Colorado Rockies, nestled quietly below one of the largest ski mountains in North America, sits a small ranching community that serves as a constant reminder that the Old West is alive and well.

Never far from its ranching roots, Steamboat remains firmly linked to a Western tradition that sets it apart from every other ski resort in the world.

What's New This Season at Steamboat

Over the past four seasons, $30 million in on-mountain improvements have been made to the Steamboat Ski Area, including $2.5 million invested specifically for the upcoming 2009/10 winter season. Steamboat’s on-mountain momentum augments nearly $20 million in completed and planned public revitalization projects sweeping the mountain village. Building upon last year’s on-mountain capital expenditures, the majority of the 2000/10 season improvements target an expanded Kids’ Vacation Center, new Ski & Snowboard School ticket office and snowmaking.
