| IS Eyewear is an independently owned brand based out of Vancouver, British Columbia, founded in 1997 by world-renowned snowboard superstar Devun Walsh. Walsh, who was unhappy with the goggles available at the time, decided to take matters into his own hands and create more stylish, better-suited eyewear dedicated to snowboarders.
Recognizing the same opportunity in the sunglass market IS Eyewear presented its first line of sunglasses to the action sports industry in 2000, offering a fresh blend of sophisticated yet casual sunglass styles to an industry stuck on sporty wrap frames. Talented designer, Kenta Goto has been responsible for the progressive, clean aesthetic appeal of our product line since the inception of the sunglass program.
Our mission has always been to offer team inspired, premium quality products to our consumers. With invaluable input from the likes of Devun Walsh, Tadashi Fuse, Wille Yli-Luoma, Chris Dufficy, Kale Stephens and the rest of the team our dedication to snowboarding clearly shines throughout our line.
