At Mountain Waffle Co. the best is never good enough! So, when we’re talking about waffles, we’re not talking about just any waffles. We searched far and wide for the world’s most flavorful, awe inspiring, taste-bud bursting Liege Belgian waffle. We finally found it in a old Liege family recipe that we feel proud enough to call our own. These are the Liege Belgian waffles perfectly prepared and made to order the way that Belgians have tried to keep secret and all to themselves!
What makes our fresh-baked, warm Liege Belgian waffles so special? First of all, it’s the dough. It’s made with our proprietary yeast blend sweetened with pearl sugar, a sugar unique to Belgium that melts within. When baked golden brown by our imported cast-iron waffle irons, the pearls in the dough burst and caramelize and the dough crisps to perfection. This creates a dense, sweet waffle that is rich in flavor. Then we drizzle them in warm Belgian gourmet chocolate or maple syrup. The end result is a warm, melt in your mouth, flavor burst of sheer deliciousness that gives skiers and snowboarders alike renewed energy to power down the slopes!
