Mount Snow enters the 2009-10 season with the most new-technology fan guns of any resort in North America. What does this mean? These super-efficient snowmaking machines produce high quality snow with 1/3 the effort of traditional snowmaking guns, producing the some of the best snow conditions in the East. You have to ski it yourself to see the difference.
Mount Snow remains Vermont's closest big mountain resort for major metropolitan areas including Boston, New York City, the tri-state region, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania and Washington D.C. What's New This Season at Mount Snow
Mount Snow's new owner's, Peak Resorts, have invested over $15 million in mountain operations and facilities over the last 3 years. This includes the purchase of 251 energy-efficient snowmaking fan guns, which gives the resort the capability to open earlier with more terrain, and recover more quickly from temperature fluctuations during the season.
