7" 40" Wet Snow  reported: 03/14/2010 at 4:24 PM EST by Anonymous

Groomed, Tracked, Untracked, Uncrowded, Windy, Rainy, Snowy, Flat Light

The weather was a little challenging, but it was stil a good day of skiing. There was a bout 6-8" of new snow sunday morning, it was heavy but not too heavy and it was easily skiiable. All in all, better than staying home.

Groomed, Tracked, Untracked, Deep, Crowded, Calm

I've been skiing Mt snow for over 20 years, easily yesterday (Sat 2/27) were the best conditions ever. Hit deep, untracked powder in the morning and packed powder all day long with mild weather conditions. My son had an interesting comment "it's really quiet today, I don't hear any scraping sounds".

Skied Off, Wind-Packed, Icy Spots, Crowded, Windy, Snowy, Sunny

The Blue trails were VERY busy due to Presidents weekend. Plenty of Blues with less traffic and the blacks had little population on the North side. Although it was a bit windy at the peak, conditions were good with decent amounts of powder near the tree line. I always find some challenging trails for all levels on the North side.Challenger & Upper Challenger was awesome and almost all alone. Another Great day!!

Groomed, Tracked, Untracked, Uncrowded, Calm, Sunny

The Main face of the mountain was very well groomed through and throughout. Very impressive job after such a significant rainfall over the weekend. There were only 2 or 3 trails that had solid ice on the trail sides and were not groomed due to a thin base. Sunbrook was not worth the one trail open, even though the one trail was well maintained. NorthFace was pretty active with skiers and was a smooth ride from top to bottom. The mountain was overall quiet, mostly sunny, no crowds, a real treat to just be able to ski with really no distractions or bottlenecks
