It was dinner and a movie as 46 RB Beatle fans rendezvoused at the ol’ Firehouse Grill then wandered over to the downtown Martinez Campbell Theater to big screen the Beatles’ 1964 iconic, B&W film.

Last 2021 Summer BBQ. Above are Rusty Bindings VIPs: members only, fully vaccinated, no symptoms, safely seated. Next scheduled event outdoor Halloween Party Oct 29.

2021 ST. PATTY’S DAY PARTY

We all were Irish ’cause no one had to drive home. The blarney flowed with 50 shades of green Irish attire, a tipsy cartoon, trivia only a leprechaun would know, and fiddlin’ pub and River-dancing. Our virtual evening of lucky charm ended with a travel video of the best places to visit in Ireland.

2021 SUPER BOWL PARTY

Super Bowl, Super Betting, Super Commercials. 35 RBers bonded via their pocketbooks by entering two Super Bowl pools. Most of the partying occurred post game that included a video of the best SB ads since the first Budweiser Bud Bowl in 1989.

HOLIDAY PARTY 12/11/20

If we can’t have a live holiday party, then we’ll bring the party to you.  For the 47th year in a row, Rusty Bindings held its holiday party – only this year via cyberspace.  Forty-six spirited RBer’s, most flashing holiday attire, sang Christmas carols, enjoyed a video of past RB holiday parties, and shared the lights & ornaments of their decorated trees.  Of course there was dancing with a few Rusty rockers swaying to and fro in their tiny Zoom squares to Christmas rock n roll songs.

HOLLOWEEN PARTY

October 27: Now that most are wearing a mask every day, why not put a Halloween twist on boring face attire.  Two dozen Rusty ghouls were bedazzled with face paint, hallo hats, witchy wigs, and other raunchy remakes. Spooktacular contest winners were the infamous green Incredible Hulk, a porcelain-like face adorned with red feathers, and a goofy troll with a pet rat.

September 5: KENTUCKY DERBY ZOOM PARTY

Top RB horse handicapper’s Stephanie LaCount and Judy Rech picked “Authentic” and “Tiz the Law” one-two.  Steph wins the tiebreaker and Derby pool.  She’s now a C-note richer.  Any of 12 or so lovelies could have won the ladies hat contest.  Suanne McGovern edged Janet Spencer in classic Kentucky Derby tradition – Suanne’s wider brim was a tad more Southern Belle.

RB’s July 4th Party celebrated America’s independence with a very moving, patriotic story of how the Star Spangled Banner was authored followed by spectacular digital fireworks with accompanying symphonic music.
