Hope you have been having a great summer so far.

Below are the dates we are setting for working bees over the coming months.

Remember one day can reduce your subs by $40, two days brings them down by $80.

10/11 Mar

20/21 Apr

4/5 May – Annual Canterbury Snow Sale

18/19 May

At the working bees there will be repairs and maintenance happening on the huts and tows as well as roading repairs.

All and any hands are welcome and of course come up stay for a night or two!

Social weekend planed for the 16/17 March. Why not come celebrate Saint Patricks on Mt Saint Patrick. A few clubbies are planning to head up and stay for the weekend.

If you can make any of these, send us a message or email on info@skihanmer.co.nz

A big thanks to all the come to visit last winter. Can’t wait to see you all again this winter!

Cheers,
Team Amuri

New Zealand Club Fields offer a truly unique grass roots, pared back, low key snow experience in huge contrast to the larger resorts of today. It’s our belief that a day on the snow is about who you’re with, where you are and not how hot your gear is!

Hanmer Springs Ski Area is a friendly, fun ski area just 17km from the alpine resort town of Hanmer Springs. From the top of the field there are great views of the surrounding mountains of St James and Molesworth Stations and the distant peaks of the Nelson Lakes National Park.

There are a variety of groomed runs and off piste to choose from for all ages and stages of skill.  Slopes can be viewed from the lounge in the Day Lodge so spectators don’t miss out and the beginner’s area is right beside it with excellent open terrain for kids.  The ski area is ideal for the family or group of friends for a weekend away with fun filled runs for everyone.

There are three lifts - a Poma, a Rope Tow and the learners area with a Fixed Grip Tow. If you have never used a nutcracker before, Hanmer Springs is a good place to start !

The car park is at the base of the huts and it’s just a short walk to the tows. There are no queues so you can get in as many runs as your body can handle and the  tows operate until you want to stop!  The cosy mountain accommodation is backpacker style and is self catering, so don’t forget to bring supplies.

To top off a perfect day or weekend in the mountains a soak in the Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools will ease the strain on the muscles. The village also has some great Restaurants and Bars, and even a nightclub for those with stamina!
