I want to thank all of our board members, trip leaders, committee members and staff members for stepping up and volunteering to serve SSC for the coming year. Without all of these talented and dedicated people, both those in the past and those moving forward, we would not be celebrating our 60th year as a well-known and respected organization! Please take a few minutes to thank the individuals listed in Chairlift Chatter when you see them at club meetings and events around town.

I also encourage you to carefully read over the information in this newsletter because our trips are about to go on sale for next winter. “The Reveal” was well-received last spring, so we continue that momentum again this year. Plan to join us on Tuesday, May 7 if you are in the mid-state area, or carefully follow the rules for submitting your applications by mail. Your membership must be current and the USPS postmarked date is important if your favorite trip receives more interest than we have spaces and a lottery becomes necessary. Some details are still being finalized and will be made available as quickly as possible. We have been telling you that due to changing trends in the ski industry, we have to select our destinations and sign contracts earlier than ever before. Therefore we need your commitments well in advance so we don't lose our deposits or turn back reservations before the trips are filled.

As we move into the summer months ahead, I hope to see many of you out and about at our social events and gatherings at local restaurants. If you have any ideas or would like to host an event, please reach out to our Social VP Suzanne Laughman so we can get you on the schedule.

   Single - $35
   Family/Household - $45
   Junior - $20.
