0" 0" Wet Snow  reported: 02/13/2013 at 4:47 AM EST by Jimmy

Groomed, Tracked, Wet, Wet Spots, Uncrowded, Calm

Had a great time night skiing Tuesday night (Feb 12). mostly slushy wet snow due to the high temps and recent rain- but there was plenty of snow and a nice terrain park (by Virginia standards) with rails, barrels, and a few nice jumps. good times. NO lines at all. ski to the bottom and hop right back on the lift. Colorado it ain't, but this is the best thing going in Virginia.

Groomed, Tracked, Sun-Baked, Icy Spots, Windy, Making Snow

Finally some real snow! A great dump of real snow over the holiday weekend! You can't blame the resort for the warm winter, but it sure does make a difference to finally have some real snow!! Too bad it is supposed to be in the mid 60s again this week. Some icy spots in the shade. Mostly well groomed. Will be slush in a matter of days with the forecast, but it is always a fun day of skiing at Wintergreen and this might make the season last another few days than would have otherwise been the case.
0" 20" Wet Granular  reported: 01/09/2012 at 3:08 AM EST by Michael

Uncrowded

Considering the weather lately, I think they're doing the best they can. What can you expect? This is Virginia, not Colorado. It has just been too warm lately. Went Friday night (the 6th of January). Hard packed granular with some slush on the top. Not crowded at all and was a balmy 45 degrees for night skiing. Weather looks promising for some new snow-making this week!
