0" 48" Packed Powder  reported: 02/26/2014 at 1:51 AM EST by Snowmonkey

Groomed, Tracked, Refrozen, Thin Spots, Uncrowded, Calm, Sunny

Skied Sunday feb 23 rd and the mt was dead! No one there even after noon when half day deal kicked in. Warm, abundant sun and practically no wind. Had a couple BIG gusts hit us when coming down polecat, but otherwise calm. Surprised still some thin spots on upper and middle polecat but otherwise decent. Few a icy spots underneath where the pow was skied off. Kids tried hitting the pow like last week only to find they were skating on top of an icy layer from the darn mixed bag and rain that came through last week. Overall fabulous day, no crowds, warm sunny day and soft packed powder. Also had a super nice ski patrol dude explain telli skiing to the kids. Very helpful friendly lifties esp on the beginner chair.

Deep

It seems that there was no grooming at all. Even green trails were pretty bad: all bumps and ice.

Groomed, Tracked, Deep, Crowded, Calm

Fun day at the cat. No wind:-)) it was the calmest day I've ever seen there. Nice snow, plenty of hidden stashes. LOTS of people w winter break starting for many. No room up or down to find a spot for a mom and two kiddos, but whatevs, fun day:-) kids enjoyed the kids glades around snowcat. I was skiing with a Powgirl and Powboy:-)
1" 40" Hard Pack  reported: 01/04/2013 at 4:10 AM EST by Gretchen

Groomed, Skied Off, Wind-Packed, Bullet-Proof, Thin Spots, Uncrowded, Windy, Making Snow

It was so windy they closed 2 days.over New Year's. Before New Year's it was windy and cold, with fresh snow. A lot blown off, but fun fast runs for the die hard. Today is "warmer " in the teens, with less wind. Probably well-groomed, some cover over hardpack. We are anticipating a great day on the slopes!

Groomed, Refrozen, Wind-Packed, Thin Spots, Uncrowded, Windy

Snowy paths 5 -15 feet wide down intermediate and Polecat the trails with good cover from the top. Cloud cover kept conditions firm, mushy only at the bottom. Skied Sat and Easter Sun. Very few people. It's closed for the week, open next weekend. Reduced ticked prices. Worth it!
