0" 0" Packed Powder  reported: 01/06/2013 at 4:10 PM EST by Phil

Untracked, Uncrowded, Making Snow

Still can find untracked powder on the mountain if you know where to look two weeks after the major storms. The rest of the mountain is 100% open with varied conditions. Some wet melted spots on a certain trail. Ice near water drainage at the bottom of the hill. But, overall mostly packed powder that is nice to ride. Can't believe there are no crowds. It is like they save the powder just for me. Heard some people complaining they don't groom enough. Seems like they groom just enough for my liking on the beginner trails and down the main black.

There were thin spots from the wind but, there were also drifts up to my waist in spots. I even wished I had brought my powder skis. I have a few pictures, not sure how I can post them. On top of it all, no one was there. Never waited in line. Just a powder junkies dream. Fresh trails all day long. They were nice to leave it untouched. I'm sure they have packed most of it down by now but, they do have a base. And
