Arrived for first tracks. All the runs were machined groomed. Crowds are very light. The slopes are totally covered. All runs open. Partly sunny. Great conditions. Timberline is fast today. Competition was smooth. The snow was very consistent on all runs. What a joy it was to ski today! Thinking about going back later tonight. OMG why are you still reading this. Get out here!

Groomed, Icy Spots, Uncrowded, Windy, Snowy

Arrived at 9:00am. Everything was machine groomed. Every run was well covered. Timberline was fast. Found only one icy spot where Pine Alley and Alpin converge. Then it started to snow. It snowed all day. Covered up the icy spot. The competition hill was excellent as were all the other runs. The terrain park is in great shape. The speed of the hill slowed a little with the new snow but the conditions were excellent! Skied until 5:00.

Groomed, Uncrowded, Calm, Sunny

I stand amazed at Snow Trails ability to recover from the poor weather we have seen in the last few weeks. I skied until 9:00 pm on Thursday and the returned on Friday morning at 10:am. Temperatures were perfect for snow production. In the morning there were huge piles in the competition area and on the terrain park. Mt. Mansfield was machined groomed when we arrived. West woods and Timberline were opened by 10:30. The competition hill was open by 11:00 am. Ruster was open but there were a few places on the edge that need more snow. The crews positioned the portable snow machines on Rustler in perpetration to make snow a priority for Friday night. The terrain park was closed all day because of the amount of snow made overnight. There is a huge ramp at the bottom of the hill. Stayed until 4:00 pm. It was excellent conditions all day. Speed was good, control was excellent. The hill is ready are you. Get your skis, find your best girl and get out here!

Went out Thursday night. The hill was very fast but with the layer of man made snow made conditions the best I have ever skied on the mountain.

Uncrowded, Calm, Snowy

Went out yesterday morning, skied until 4:00. Fresh natural snow provided a nice surface. Great coverage, easy to control. The tubing park opened at 5:00. West woods terrain park is open for skiing, no features yet. Timber Line is fast at the top and slow at the bottom. Skiing was very good on Mt. Mansfield and the competition hill. The crisscross is open as well as the woods. The second natural snow this week. Conditions on the hill are improving every day. Light snow fell all day. The temp was present with very little wind. It was a very good day.

Tracked, Thin Spots, Uncrowded, Calm, Sunny, Making Snow

Very good day to ski. The monsoon earlier in the week changed to snow. Three inches of natural snow coupled with amazing snowmaking conditions resulted very good coverage. The next few days look very good for making snow. The tubing park is not open but the snow is accumulating in that area. No terrain park features yet. The competition hill is open. To run is fast, hard but with enough powder to be very maneuverable consistently from top to bottom. There is one area on the right side half way down that wet and uncovered. It is small and well marked. Mt. Mansfield has a good layer of powder. It has very good coverage top to bottom, tree line to tree line. Very consistant top to bottom. Very easy to maneuver and very good speed. Snow making in closed areas resumed at sunset. Things are shaping up well.

Groomed, Uncrowded, Calm

Five inches of new natural snow made Saturday a perfect day. All runs are open. Terrain parks are built. There is snow in the glades. Timberline has a few new rollers. The skiing was excellent. What more could you ask for? Why are you still siting there? Get your gear and get out here.

Groomed, Tracked, Uncrowded, Calm, Making Snow

There were very nice conditions tonight. The temp was in the low teens and snow making is progressing nicely. Tons of snow is being made. Recent natural snow is filling in the glades. Snowboarders were enjoying the piles of new snow on the Competition Slope. We warmed up on the beginner’s hill, which is in excellent condition. Alpine has several large piles of snow and will open very soon. West Woods Trail is starting to take on some interesting contours. Timberline had a few ruts by 9:00pm. On the Timberline Trail It is possible to ski past the West Woods lift to the Alpine lift. The upper cut looks very flat. I would like to see it after it opens and has more snow on it. Mt. Mansfield had several inches of machine made snow on top of a 22 inch base. It was possible to go as fast or as slow as I wished. When skiing I found it easy to turn and stay in control.

Groomed, Untracked, Thin Spots, Bare Spots, Uncrowded, Calm, Snowy, Making Snow

Arrived around 11:00am. Light crowds. First week conditions. Temps are cold overnight so snow making is filling in the bare spots. The snow tubing area is building. They made three lanes today. The competition hill opened but the path of snow is narrow. Mt. Mansfield covered except for the treeline to the east. Conditions were good. The bunny his is open with wall to wall snow. West Woods and Timberline opened at noon. Went down with the first group. West Woods is fast top to bottom. The new trail is fast at the top and gentle at the bottom. The web cams don't do the place justice. The west side of the park is in great shape.
