18" 100" Powder  reported: 03/19/2014 at 1:33 PM EST by Don

Groomed, Wind-Packed

Skiied first time. Mountain get better snow than southerly resorts. 18-24" this time (2 days before). All lifts running Friday. Snow excellent, only one icy spot seen. HOWEVER, on the Great Northern/Eastern green trails, reckless, hot shot snowsliders seen whizzing by at top speed. Other nearby resorts says you have to slow down to speed of others. Here's it's a free-for all. Some narrow points were treacherous as skiers and snowboarders think they are best in the world and ski as close and as fast as they want. Besides that (which spoiled the day) - we expected mid-week crowds (light), THe day before people said it was windy and snowy and most lifts were shut down. Today, all lifts were running. Great mountain, but too many hot shots. You look at them, they come from all over, including Canada. It's basically a rowdy mountain, not family friendly. I can see people avoiding this mountain - despite all the marketing. They even act that way in the restaurants, parking lot

Groomed, Skied Off, Refrozen, Crowded, Snowy, Flat Light, Making Snow

Skieed Killington on Sat 2/22. It snowed all day. The later it got the more the snow mounded up. I went from patches of porcelin to piles of snow especially at Bear mountain.Snodon and Rams Head were in much better shape.. Very crowded, but the lift lines moved quickly. Very glad I got discounted lift tickets at Costco.

Groomed, Thin Spots, Uncrowded, Windy, Snowy, Making Snow

Killington resort Very nice day....nicest slope condition I've seen for early season. Packed powder, some fluffly snow spots, some icy spots on the blue runs but still cuttable. Windy and snowing mad it a winter wonderland. Plenty of places to ride

Groomed

Only a few areas open but I did not care! I just could not wait to go snowboarding! I live in CT and nothing is open yet here. Killington was a blast! We tore it up!
