0" 30" Wet Granular  reported: 12/14/2014 at 5:47 PM EST by Anonymous

Groomed, Refrozen, Thin Spots, Icy Spots, Bare Spots, Uncrowded, Flat Light

After a great cold start to the season it's been unseasonably warm the last couple of weeks. but give Cascade credit for a decent base and skiable conditions with most runs open. Very foggy today (12/14) and warm (46 degrees), but runs were in very good shape. Few small bare spots here and there, but generally good coverage with some loose snow that wasn't heavy and only a little ice. Rain in the forecast for the next day so, but then cold again so Cascade should be able to make more snow and be in good shape by next weekend and Christmas.
0" 48" Granular  reported: 12/15/2013 at 4:51 PM EST by Anonymous

Groomed, Deep, Uncrowded, Sunny

Temps in the low teens but snow was excellent. Loose granular on top of hard pack with very little ice. Bright sun and moderate crowds. Nearly all runs open and it's only Dec 15!. Run of the day: PW. Very smooth and fast with a wicked World Cup cross pitch that could leave you flying into the woods if you're not careful. A little freezing rain predicted for later this week, but solid, deep base will hold up fine so next weekend shoud be equally great.
