They Ruined My Skis
Posted on 03/22/2010 by: Anonymous

I brought a great pair of skis to them for a stone grind. They ground thru the P-Tex and left such a deep bevel in the edge that the skis could not be repaired. The only thing worse than their ski tuning ability is their customer service. The do not stand behind the work they do. I have been skiing for over 45 years and have worked in the industry for years. I cannot recommend that anyone let them tune any boards that they care about. You will bet better results at Sports Authority. For a truly great tune, try Today's Edge in Stowe.

Before You Let Them Stone Grind Your Skis>> Read This
Posted on 01/03/2010 by: Ct Mountainman

This shops promotes its state of the art grinding equipment and experienced staff. I purchased a great pair of Atomic skis and bindings from them. As I have done for decades, I tend to wax my skis myself and have a qualified shop stone grind the skis at the beginning of the season - if needed. The skis came back to me with a large white spot about half an inch wide and the width of the ski, where they had ground through the P-Tex. When asked what, they proposed to do to cure the problem. The response from this shop was simple: There is really nothing that can be done to fix the ski, but hey its not our fault that Atomic puts too thin a P-Tex base on their skis. They then told me that since my skis were more than 24 months old, I should not expect their shop or Atomic to stand behind them. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ALLOWING THEM TO GRIND YOUR SKIS, UNLESS YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT THEM.
