Wrong size right money

Today I went to Western Village Ski and Sports to buy a pair of Merrell's hiking sneakers. I informed the owner I was a size 11 and he decided to measure my feet. He informed me I was a size 10. Size 10 were the largest size the merrell's were in. I tried on the shoes and they were a tight fit, but I figured I could break them in, after all he said I was a size 10. I went home, put on the shoes and started to walk down a trail. After 10 minutes of walking my feet hurt so bad. I decided to take the shoes back or at least talk to the owner. He informed me I soiled the shoes and I couldn't trade them in for a bigger size sneaker. I lost $80 and I have sore feet. This wasn't handled professionally and I made a mistake by leaving my shoe size up to the "professional". I support local business, but this business isn't worth supporting. If you want to get a good pair of shoes and get fitted right - You're better off looking somewhere else. |
