Awesome powder this week! 02/18/2014 by: Chris Great conditions, 15 inches of powder, short fast moving lines. Could not be better. All chairs open to the top. Great trip for a first one out west with kids!

Great Day for Some Great Skiing 01/10/2011 by: Anonymous I don't really give much attention to the prices or food/beverage since I go to ski, not sit in the lodge and I usually eat out of my pocket or pack on the lift. That said, Wow. Another great day. I hope the trend keeps- last year was so dry and this year has not disappointed in making up for it. About 4-6 inches of fresh in the last 24hrs (depending on where you were), great temps, and good visibility. It was lightly snowing for a good part of the day, but they are expecting more snow tonight- Think I'm headed back up the mountain for a post-weekend powder day tomorrow!

Packed Pow Nothin! Freshies All Day Long!!! 01/03/2011 by: Cliffy They are reporting packed powder, but the only packed anything was where the groomers had run- get off the trails or ride the bumps and you are hitting soft powder. In the trees I made fresh tracks all day long in snow anywhere from 2" to 8" depending upon location on the mountain (East facing slopes seemed to have the best snow). It was 4deg in the parking lot on a beautiful bluebird day- the cold temps are keeping the snow nice and soft despite the sun, but be careful- wind chill at the top of the Panoramic lift was near -20. Don't hang out. Supposed to start snowing again Monday night; WOO-HOO!!!

Old Dogs and New Tricks 02/09/2010 by: Kathy Peironnet After racing with 9 ski clubs from the non-mountainous midwest, we took some time to check out the Burton Snowboard Tents at the base. Burton had a great set up to fit you with boots and boards. Before we knew it, the old dogs(50 somethings) were on the snow with great demo equipment. Laughs abounded, but what a great place to try to hone our new skills. Thanks Winter Park and Burton! You rock!

How DO You Like Your Hard-Pack, Anyway? 01/02/2009 by: Jared Caldwell As of 31 Dec 2008- No new snow to speak of. What was present was either hard-pack or blown-off and icy (or some combination of the two). No powder to speak of- the best you will find is snow that isn't groomed but hasn't been skied yet (and there isn't much that hasn't been skied- the trees are starting to get moguls). Stay away until there is more snow unless you are a mogul hound, but even some of them are icy...
