If you are looking for cross country ski equipment and apparel this is the stop for you. Expert and friendly staff. They are open late on fridays till 8 which is rare for anything but the bars up there. If you are looking for camping, fishing, hunting, or down hill skiing they can also hook you up quite nicely as well. Don't miss out. This is 'old fashioned' service at its best. I've used Mel's for cross country ski equipment and kayaking since moving to the Northwoods and they CANNOT be beat! They have a 'try before you buy' for some things, a rental system, and they make sure you're 100% happy with your equipment. They've fitted me for two pairs of skis over the last 3 years and am delighted with both.
