Great location and super skiing choices12/27/2013 by: Dawn Abraham I love returning to Boyne Mountain every year, and I've taken friends there and they love it too. Many choices to ski on - every ability is covered well. So everyone in the party is happy, with lots of nice places to catch your breath. Nice snow, nice lifts, nice views. Great place to go in and take a rest, catch some food and drink and run back out quickly. I can't wait to get back there and do some more skiing!

Great weather, Great conditions! 01/16/2013 by: Anonymous My husband and I went this past weekend, and the weather and conditions were great! We thought with it being in the 50s that the conditions would be slushy and bad for snowboarding, but it was the complete opposite. There were only 2 trails open on the back-side of the mountain, but we stayed towards the front and in the beginner terrain park. We had a great time!

Busy but Decent 01/03/2013 by: Anonymous Overall the experience was decent. I went snowboarding 4 days during the mountain's busiest time, so the slopes and lines were very crowded. The snow was pretty much packed powder, but very icy on certain hills, like Victor. I still cannot believe that nobody has sloped off the lift at the top of Meadows. It never fails that someone gets hurt while we are there from the demon drop at the top of Meadows. FIX THIS ALREADY!!!!!

Good Place for skiing and lodge and cafeteria are great 01/03/2013 by: RD Cafeteria is great, you can bring it your own food and drinks and not spend a fortune on meals. Always playing a Warren Miller movie on 2 big screens. Bar is very nice and comfortable. Great shop for emergency equipment. Would recommend Boyne to anyone in Michigan for skiing or snowboarding.

Good Times at the Mountain 12/30/2012 by: Anonymous Spent the last two days at the Mountain and considering there's no new snow as of late the conditions are good. Typical man made groomed snow, but boyne keeps it skiable. Meadows is a great run but the chairlift is for experienced skiers only. The always troublesome chairlift starts with magic carpet ride at the bottom that always gives people troubl and then ends with a tragic I e fall at the top. Avoid that lift and you'll be okay. Good times overall though.

Great for family vacation "Up North" 12/20/2012 by: Anonymous Great place with lots to do for the whole family! We enjoy utilizing the "vacation rentals by owner", as there are a large selection of them on websites such as VRBO, which helps make it a very affordable trip to enjoy great skiing! We take an annual trip, and the last two years have been very lucky as we were dropped about 6" of fresh snow most nights, and when there wasn't fresh snow, Boyne did a great job of making snow. We have several different levels of skiers in our Group, but Boyne caters to that well because there are lots of trail options for the different levels. Also, great options for Apres ski too, with an awesome spa and the indoor waterpark.

Perfect for annual family ski trip! 12/03/2012 by: veranique nodine We love Boyne Mountain! We have been to the resort the last three years over Christmas vacation with the kids and will go again this year. We have stayed at the main lodge, the mountain villas, and the Disciples Ridge condos. We liked the mountain villas for their closeness to the mountain as well as the shops and restaurants. But, we prefer the Desciples Ridge condo. We love the size of them (7 of us) and like the ski in/ski out location. We also like that you can call the free shuttle to take you to the main lodge area. Boyne Mountain is great for family fun and it's now an annual tradition for our family.

No Magic On Meadows Chairlift01/06/2012 by: Anonymous Stay away from the Meadows chairlift at Boyne Mountain it's a train wreck all day. After many serious injuries every day and every year management continues to ignore this serious hazard. A load of dirt put down in the summer would solve the demon drop problem that exist when exiting this lift. So much for high speed since this lift is stopped half the day while ski patrol cleans up the wounded. So disappointed that management continues to ignore the issue and obviously they put no value on safety. Fix the problem already!!!

Boyne has it all! 11/30/2011 by: Ann Greenwood We were lucky enough to win free passes to Boyne. We loved the family friendly atmosphere, the cozy bon fire and lounge at the base of the mountain. The runs were well groomed with a variety of difficultly levels for all ages. I can't wait to return this year. Dublin, OH

Had a great time at Boyne! 02/09/2011 by: Anonymous I've been going to Boyne for several years now and have always had a great experience. I learned how to snowboard there a few years ago and have been going back every year. When learning, the instructors were awesome and there were lots of runs to help me improve my skills. Now that I'm more of an expert, there are still plenty of runs to keep me challenged. I'm always excited to go back. Besides snowboarding, there are great restaurants, an amazing spa, and a fun waterpark for those who want to enjoy "warm weather".

Good skiing and boarding 02/07/2011 by: Brian Boyne is a great northern Michigan ski area! It has many different trails that keep boarders of all different levels happy. It was not excessively busy on a nice Saturday afternoon and lift waits were not bad at all. Only negative was that several lifts closed at 4:30 pm on a Saturday; with plenty of daylight still available I felf they should have stayed open later on a Saturday.

Family Fun 01/31/2011 by: Anonymous The resort has great accommodations and lots of room to explore and roam around. The terrain park was a big hit with the kids. Rental equipment was of good quality and easy to get in and out with what you need. Employees were helpful and friendly even when swamped with people early in the morning. Lounge was relaxing and fun and they have a great eating area where you can bring in food and drinks to have what you want and to save some money or you can buy good food at the resort. Being a Mountain Dew fan was not happy that the resorts is a Coke products resort. I wish ski places would stop doing that and have only one line of products, I don't mind paying 2 or 2.50 for a pop if it is the brand and drink I want. Would recommend this place for staying and enjoying the amenities and the skiing/boarding is great for all ages.

Fresh Snow! 01/11/2011 by: Anonymous I snowboarded at Boyne the last two weekends and had completely different conditions each time. Two weekends ago the snow was perfect for boarding since it was a little warm, which made the snow slightly more slush like, but in a good way. This past weekend the snow was thicker and more compact, which made for more chances of catching an edge. It was a little rougher out there, but all in all, Boyne is a great place to board!

Reasonable 01/01/2011 by: Kim Mast Great for lower Michigan skiing. The staff was friendly and helpful. Snow conditions were good to great depending on the day. We had 3 great days of skiing and one great day in the waterpark. We had two adults and 2 boys ages 8 and 11. We stayed in the Clock tower which is the older building in a suite. Our room was large and had a refrigerator. We also asked for a microwave and a coffee maker which housekeeping brought up within the hour. We ate breakfast buffett in the morning which was quick, easy, and delicious. Snacks in the room for lunch and dinner in one of the on site restaurants. The package we got was a reasonable value and my children said it was the best vacation they ever had.

Boyne Mountain 02/03/2010 by: Anonymous The conditions staying in the Boyne Disciples Ridge Condos was another story. Upon check-in the staff members at the guest services counter were not pleasant at all. I was overwhelmed with the feeling that I had somehow unconvinced them by having the audacity to try and check into the condo I was staying at. My experience trying to redeem free lift tickets I won from this site was just as unpleasant. When they tried to use the coupons they sent to me they told me one of my vouchers had been redeemed. Instead of double checking the computer system they immediately accused me of trying to scam them. After a 40 min ordeal with the promotions director I got my lift tickets. I received no retribution for my lost snowboarding time dealing with the whole situation. Overall I had travelled to Boyne to have a nice weekend vacation but the atmosphere created by their staff did not make it feel that way. I would strongly recommend not staying at Boyne's facilities.

Post Christmas Boarding Bliss 12/30/2009 by: Anonymous Just got back from three days of snowboarding at Boyne Mountain and the conditions just kept getting better. Some quick tips - If you can bring your own food and beverage, do it! Prices are high, but that's to be expected at any ski resort. Had my board waxed and sharpened at the pro shop - just left it over night and it was ready in the morning - very convenient. Oh and stay away from the magic carpet chair lift on Meadows run - don't know why Boyne can't get that one right. To Boyne - you can't have an ice slope going onto the magic carpet at the bottom of this life and and you can't have a major drop off at the end of the lift - tapper out the hill at the end of the lift and and flatten the entrance to the magic carpet where you get on the lift. Had a great time though - conditions are good and the staff is helpful and friendly.

Very Enjoyable Time! 03/20/2009 by: Anonymous Boyne Mountain in Michigan is a very family-friendly place to go for a relaxing time of skiing/snowboarding. My friend and I went for a week and took a snowboarding lesson. The instructor was the best one we have ever had! He was very nice and knowledgeable. He had much patience and was simply willing to teach what we individually needed. The night skiing/snowboarding was my personal favorite. It is very beautiful seeing the slopes lit up as well as the community! There were many children taking lessons and going on the slopes. It was a very family-friendly place! Great vacation!

Shanty has an outstanding natural base this year that allows for smooth skiing normally found out west. Anyone wanting a close and easy day of skiing head to northern Michigan for some great natural powder.

I like Boyne so much because i can go ski steep hills,then later I can go to the half pipe or the cool supercross course. I always tell people to go to boyne because there is always great skiing. That is why I make it up there as much as possible.

As a midwesterner, it's nice to be able to go somewhere where you can ski continuously for more than a minute or two. Also appreciated the warm watering holes at the base.

Great Glade skiing off the top of Disciples Ridge, and between South McLouth and Hemlock. They do close Ramshead now at night. No real terrain park.

Holiday Snowboarding At The Mountain 01/08/2009 by: Anonymous Well, we drove up North on the Saturday after Christmas with the hopes to do some snowboarding and it was pouring rain. Didn't expect we'd get to go Snowboarding on Sunday, but the weather got cold over night and we went anyways. To our surprise the Mountain still had a nice base and they had done a really nice job of grooming the hills. We snowboarded four days in a row the 28th through the 31st and with very little new snow the slopes were great. Nice job Boyne and looking forward to my next trip in late January!

Post Christmas Boarding 01/03/2008 by: Anonymous Had a great time with family at Boyne Mountain boarding 4 days in a row. Black diamond hills are nice early in the day, but by the end its solid ice with snow piles. Prices seem high at $58 per day (till 4:30) - good thing I had a place to stay for free. Brought food and had lunch on the hill at a warming hut. Snowflake lounge is a good time after skiing, but they need some more wait staff to service the crowd.

Good late season skiing! 03/28/2005 by: Anonymous Skied all day on Saturday. The weather was beautiful and the slopes were great. Would highly recommend for late season skiing as they have enough snow for any high traffic areas. Did not find any bare spots on the slopes.
