Nightmare Review 01/06/2013 by: TarahumaraLite Nowhere is it more true that if a deal sounds too good to be true it's probably not. I ordered a Suunto Ambit watch that was advertised for $450 with a heart rate monitor - great price. It was a Christmas present. On Christmas Eve UPS delivered a package that contained a torn-up jewelry box with no watch! During repeated calls the employees tried to assure me that efforts were underway to "investigate the matter." Two weeks later I finally got a call from the shipping manager who wanted me to accept a watch that turned-up that was supposedly the one that belonged in the damaged package I received. Yet, there was no assurance that it was new, or in working order, or that I would get a refund if there was anything wrong with it. In trying to take up the matter directly with the owners, no employee would give me their names out of fear of reprisals. I had to dispute the charge with VISA to get my money back.

crook 11/02/2012 by: Cactus Ed The owner of this shop is Olivier Goumas. He's a crook. He had trouble with the law in France, in Tignes, with a ski shop. Then he tried his luck with a website called mountainblack. Same story. Now this. Hope for him he'll never come back in France, lots of people are waiting for him...

Terrible store. 11/22/2011 by: Anonymous Worst store ever. Picked up a Living Social voucher after checking their online store and seeing several items that piqued my interest... Prices were higher than average, but I had the voucher so wasn't too worried... Took the 45 minute drive out to their showroom, and was extremely disappointed... They have a tiny store, and basically told me that my voucher wasn't good on half the items in the store, and also that it wasn't valid for anything on another wall, leaving me with a VERY limited selection. I was told this wasn't their fault, and that if I didn't like their selection I was free to call Living Social and get a refund. So I did exactly that and will NEVER recommend them to anyone ever again. I'll still with REI from here on out thanks.

terrible prices, worse customer service! 09/13/2011 by: Anonymous Wow - what a terrible shopping experience! They obviously consider themselves a "specialty" outdoor store, but seriously - no XL in anything? One style jacket per brand? Ridiculously high prices on everything in the store? Not to mention the RUDE RUDE woman who was following me around, complaining to herself about every item I touched, which she felt she need to re-fold. Seriously out of touch store that deserves ZERO business. Do not go to 123 Mountain!!!
