this mt is the best i have ever ridden.. mostly because it was a powder day when i was there. and they had just opened the 600 acres on the back of the mountain. i had first tracks all day back there finding different runs. it was sooooo fun.. go there if you can.

Great place for a small resort with a lot of different terrain. If the snow level is low, there are steeps and chutes below the lodge, and there are good steeps on the front and the back (North). There are long groomers served by only express on the back - the best variety and the best snow is back there. Take the triple to the top, and down. The top is pretty flat, but there are good drops even on the blue runs.

Arnold is 45 minutes if the roads are clear, or you can stay in the lodge in Bear Valley. The only drawback is that if you go Hwy 4, this is the only option.
