The Copper Harbor cross country ski trail is located on the Copper Harbor Trail System and in Fort Wilkins Historic State Park. Skiers and snowshoers can park at the Visitor Center or at one of the State Park Parking areas. Trail useres will ski around ponds, cedar and white pine stands, along lake Fanny Hooe, and through historic Fort Wilkins (1844). The Trails are groomed and track set five days a week. They are groomed everyday over the weekend. Good food and lodging are abailable in Copper Harbor. Fort Wilkins also rents two trail side cabins. You can not beat the natural beauty of Keweenaw County and Copper Harbor.
