After work vacation 12/31/2008 by: Anonymous I make it out every time I am in Seattle for work in the winter. Sure it's only 1000 feet of vertical, but it is also only 45 minutes away, and after a hard day's work, there is nothing better than getting some turns and air. The park is impressive, and the runs are challenging. Having added an express chair in place of a chair that I haven't on my several trips out seen running (silver fir) might be good to open up new terrain at night, but maybe it just runs in the dark. The food is standard ski resort food, and that isn't saying anything, but who is there for the food? I just wish that I got a chance for turns during the day instead of only on the icy night runs.

Love the pass 04/27/2008 by: Spicerack It is such a great little resort - hard to find anything bad to say. Well the food is poor. The runs are great, and the lines are short. You go to a place like Summit knowing that it is small, so no expectations of long groomers -just make the hits and enjoy. I guess the layout where if you don't have a season pass, you have to take the slow as a snail triple to the top to traverse across the mountain isn't so great. The express chair is great, and I guess that traverse is a good first run. There is a great cut across back to the snail triple that doubles as a bordercross run - excellent. I went twice to Summit while on a work trip, and both days the snow was perfect, although the dreaded ice was getting worse the second night. I have to admit that the stress of work was cut by those many short runs, and I survived the trip well...

The Best Skiiing today to date!! 02/07/2008 by: phil doles first day at snoqualmie this season and was by far the best conditions... Showed through the day, lines were very short until the afternoon / evening ski crowd arrived around 4 or so... Ran into certain areas of deep powder which at times was unexpected. Didn't attack the Black Diamonds as the rest of the runs were quite a workout but in a good way..will be definelty making this a 2-2times a week trip, unless pass is closed for avalanche . Alot of good runs for beginner and intermediates.. LAter in the day visibility was very limited so beware...All in all, a great afternoon!! NO wet snow......all powder most it was ungroomed.

Good for close in skiing 12/22/2007 by: Anonymous great for a quick jaunt out .. and night skiing. has good terrain and powder at alpental, but area is totally overpriced for mediocre skiing and way too many people. the food is so expensive you could feed 100 people Ramen for 1 meal on the mountain
