Great runs for all abilities12/27/2013 by: Dawn Abraham Whitecap has the best runs, long, great views. I love to take newbies here- as they can quickly graduate to some of the longer, easier runs, and I can take off and enjoy the harder runs. ITs a wonderful place with great variety. Always has the best snow conditions too.

Greatness in a word: acreage 01/03/2013 by: John Forde Every ski resort in the midwest has vertical limited to a few hundred feet'. But Whitecap has 500 acres, 3 times the area that others have. It's more fun to explore. It's great for kids with very long green runs. Finally, they bought a used, mile long chairlift and stung it across two mountain tops and two bottoms. Both top stations can be considered midway. Thus, it is the only place I have ever seen where you can pass skiers on the chair going the other way and both of you think you are going uphill. Whitecap is four hours from Minneapolis, same distance as Lutsen and makes a nice change up. Great place. Love to see them thrive.

The Best in the Midwest 02/13/2009 by: Mary P. We have been going there for years and just love the quiet and peacefulness of the Whitecap Experience. The Winehut makes a great place to meet and enjoy other skiers and their families.
