Sport Mart is no more, but Sport Chek there is in it's place. 10/08/2012 by: Anonymous There is no longer a Sport Mart in WEM. There is a Sport Chek instead. Not sure how that all played out. Sport Marts are in general b-grade stock nowadays. Forzani group owns both stores. The Sport Chek in WEM is just fine. They all tend to be very similar stores as they are a huge chain. Support local when you can, but sometimes you can get some decent beginner to intermediate gear at these spots and it's always worth going through some discount bins to see what's available. Plus, they do tend to have some good end of the year deals on brands like K2 and Ride.

only a beginner's dive. 09/22/2010 by: Anonymous Sport mart is an okay place if you need to buy some budget gear. I picked up some cheap snowboard socks at one in Saskatoon last year. Because, it's a chain, there isn't a lot of variance. For beginner's, it's an okay option. If you can afford to support a local shop, please do. If you can't, this is a fair option. For certain accessories, sometimes a bigger shop is an okay way to go.
