01/06/2015 by: Brian McCabe

Great Place to go and really enjoyed my first trip to Vermont!!

Only negative was the snow wasn't great but I blame mother nature for that.

Killington rating reviews Killington 11/17
11/20/2013 by: Phil

No where else I could go to ride as many trails in a one day trip. Killington has become my destination for early and late season because of their ability to make snow. Went with a couple buddies and skied top to bottom all day. Not the earliest I've skied Killington but, the best condition I've seen at this point in the season. Their gondola service seems to be monitored more so beware. Will be back soon this coming weekend as well. Looks like snow coming by weekend and trail count could shoot up fast.

Killington rating reviews Decent place
01/13/2013 by: Anonymous

Was the first time at Killington. Having heard so much about it for so long, maybe my expectations were higher than they should have been. There was 3 of us, two on boards, one on skis. We came away with the same thoughts about the place. The trails were ok, but not great. The maps they give out were next to useless. if you have been there and know the place, then it's probably better. As it was, the maps and trail markings were poor. We have been to other Vermont resorts and give the highest ratings to them. As for Killington, we will not go back as the winter is short and other places offer more. The food prices were incredible, the highest I have seen. Five dollars worth of food runs you about $30.00. Way out of line.

Killington rating reviews Great skiing mountain
01/10/2013 by: Ellie

Skiing was amazing. The trails were perfectly groomed. Not too many people on the slopes which was awesome. Loved it.

Killington rating reviews Great mountain tons of parks.
01/17/2011 by: Anonymous

Better for snowboarders but if you like doing tricks, and a variety of parks / ramps this is by far the best mountain on the east coast. Even skiiers looking to hit some jumps or ski an overall great mountain should check it out.

Killington rating reviews The beast
01/14/2011 by: Chris

Love going when the whole mt is open. Was disappointed when I went in mid December and paid full price for only 45 trails. Food is great and I recommend eating at the summit lodge. Trails are great. Nightlife is also a good time if you dont mind dropping a lot of cash.

Killington rating reviews Jan 27 thru Jan 31 was great
02/02/2010 by: Marie Schwartz

Last weekend was cold but great skiing. Slopes were well groomed and plenty of snowmaking going on. Thursday they received about 3 inches. Many friendly ambassadors to help you and very professionally run. Nice Lodges all over the mountain and good music too.

Killington rating reviews Best mountain in the eastern US by far!
01/11/2010 by: Anonymous

Has by far more trails than any other resort in the eastern US. More vertical feet than any other mountain as well. Has six mountains that are very spread out, so you have the freedom to go to any of the mountains on a single run. They connect very well and it is easy to navigate the mountain. Trail maps are located at the top of every lift too! Two COMFORTABLE gondolas, many high speed quads and triples. Even if there are a lot of people skiing/riding in a single day, it doesn't seem crowded because the mountain is so huge! Lift tickets are quite expensive though, so it is best to go with an outside company to get a better deal. Great mountain, definitely my favorite, recommended to all!

Killington rating reviews Great Resort!
03/11/2009 by: Anonymous

Since PWDR has taken over Killington the trail conditions have been incredible...the moral of the lift operations team has also been a nice change. Worth the price of a lift ticket....!

Killington rating reviews Biggest in the East!
02/25/2009 by: Anonymous

The lodging prices are relative to the rest of the ski areas, but there is a bigger selection to chose from. It's a big ski resort with over 200 trails and hosts terrain for all abilities. The Perfect Turn staff are remarkable (they got my mom, age 45, to ski in just 3 days down from the summit!). Excellent night life, bars, and restaurants. Best in the East!

Killington rating reviews $60 lift tickets??
11/17/2007 by: biknski

15 trails of man-made that was scraped off by noon. Temps at the summit stayed around 24-26 degrees all morning. The sun came out late in the day and little snow accumulated in the strong northwesterly winds. Most trails had some powder along the edges, but this weekend will require serrated edges. Snow guns interrupted the magic that being outside on the slopes usually offers. The POMA, Snowdon Triple, North-Ridge Triple and K1 Gondola brought skiers and riders to the slopes with short lines, but I experienced several chairlift stoppages on the ride up. Upper East Fall was icy hard pack except along the narrow trail edges. Lower East Fall has guns pouring out the white stuff, but the ropes may stay up even through this weekend. Rime had most of the advanced skiers and riders. I spent most of my time up here. A couple of trips back to the bottom via Chute and Mouse Trap to Bunny Buster found more ice.

The snow sofentened up but the wind picked up. killington Peak was alittle pricey, but the food was decentThe bread bowls of soup were the best item on the menu. All things considered it was a great day.

Killington rating reviews Wind Blown
02/12/2007 by: Dennis

Friday 2/10 – ASC Passholders - Buy your buddy a lift tkt for just $39 ends next Saturday. Bear Mtn Upper elevations were wind blown & hard pack was fast & firm. Outer Limits is setup for mogul competition. Best snow was under the lift - sweet. Wildfire & Bear Claw both packed powder. Peak upper exposed areas wind blown with plenty of cover over hard pack. Vertigo roped off, hard pack covering most of the rack face another big snow should help this challenging drop. Panic Button, Needles Eye & Cruise Control all fast runs to either the Skye Ship Gondola or the Needle Chair for another run. Canyon upper wind blown with Cascade a great dbl diamond for the expert & East Fall to satisfy the accomplished carver. Long lines for a Friday at the k-1 gondola. Neither the Canyon nor the North Ridge chairs were running today. Snowdon & Ramshead - great conditions on Header & Timberline. Only the Quad chair was running. Great day, temps topped out at +5 at the top. Wild Chill below zero. drg

Killlington is a great big fun spot. Though it tends to get real crowded on the weekend and holidays

Great slopes but I say hit it on the weekdays if you can!!!

Killington rating reviews Spring Skiing in December
12/18/2006 by: Dennis

I’ve been twice this season; Sunday the 3rd and Friday the15th. Both days were filled with top to bottom skiing / riding on 40+ trails. The Superstar Headwall was good going down on the left and Lower Skyelark had good cover most of the away. There was plenty of loose granular on Bittersweet. Runs from the top off the K1 gondola offered plenty of terrain on the North Ridge with Rime, Reason & East Falls or down around the Chute, Mouse Trap & Highline to the Snowdon Quad. Highline was the best trail overall. Great soft bumps and not too crowded. Killington’s got the most open terrain and with temps down in the teens & 20s maybe they will keep making more snow. Happy Holidays!
