About this Ski Shop

SINCE 1975 Heino's Ski & Cycle- many times referred to as simply "HEINO'S" - was originally named Heino's Ski Parlour when first established in the winter of 1975. The founder, Heino Nowak, specifically chose the word "Parlour" to distinguish his authentic European ski shop from the many less experienced shops of the time. Heino learned to ski in his native home, Austria, during the 40's and 50's and brought that experience and authentic "touch of the Alps" with him to Northern New Jersey when he opened Heino's Ski Parlour. His passion for the sport and everything surrounding it was obvious to all who met him. Every skier in the area knew Heino's was where you went for expert advice and the best service from an experienced, hard working staff. Today, the Austrian accent is gone, but the passion still remains. Over the years HEINOS has evolved into a multi-sport shop, adding snowboarding and cycling to the original ski -oriented "Parlour". Many on our staff are USSA Ski Coaches, New England Cycling Academy mechanics and Master Fit University boot fitters who bring their combined experience and expertise to every aspect of HEINO'S. We at HEINO'S SKI & CYCLE definitely believe in, and live everyday by our slogan.... "CONQUERING MOUNTAINS YEAR ROUND"
