About this Ski Shop

U.S. Orthotic Center is a premier, full-service custom bootfiting and footbed facility in the heart of Manhattan. It is owned and operated by Jeff Rich, a certified pedorthist who is acknowledged as one of the country’s top bootfitting experts. He has been technical director of SKI Magazine’s boot testing program for the past ten years and is the Educational Director of MasterFit University, the snowsports industry’s bootfit training center. He has also invented several bootfitting tools and was the designer of the Instaprint footbed casting system used by many America’s Best shops. Unlike conventional ski and snowboard shops, U.S. Orthotic Center sells no equipment—not even boots. Instead, we will provide completely objective expert consultation to make sure you buy the boots that are best for your feet. We have working agreements with several local shops that can provide you with virtually any brand of boots available. We will work with you in new boots—or your existing boots—to provide a full range of customization options. We also offer state-of-the-art stance alignment service that can improve your performance dramatically—as quickly as the next time you ski or snowboard! We also make Instaprint custom footbeds as well as prescription orthotics both for individuals and several New York City orthopedists and podiatrsts.
