Great place for Families 01/29/2010 by: Anonymous Tahoe Donner is a wonderful place to take the family with young ones. Great Beginners slopes, wonderful customer service, and best of all its very affordable.

Tahoe Donner is great for kids 12/02/2009 by: Anonymous Great place for learning, especially for kids. Because there are so many beginners there's no fear of expert skiers flying down the trails near the bottom of the mountain. Excellent beginner runs & lifts as well as a lift ticket price that is perfect for learning. Don't expect to ski there and find it enjoyable if you don't have kids or aren't learning, however - definitely beginner focused. Lodge is small and cramped, although again perfectly fine for grabbing lunch with kids.

Well maintained and good prices 11/19/2009 by: Anonymous Small park but still fun to ride. Warm huts are awesome for heating up your mits between runs, too.

Love this place 12/17/2008 by: Tyler For a small resort, this place is excellent. There are great runs for kids to learn on. You can see most of the runs from the lodge and it is very safe. The staff is always helpful and polite. The runs are usually longer than the lift lines and the snowboard park is sweet. The snack bar is a little pricey but the lift tickets make up for it. Over all, Tahoe Donner Ski Resort is great.

Tiny - good for beginners and little else 04/27/2008 by: Jim This is a good place to go if you have a family and there are beginners around. The range of terrain is really flat terrain, then a little steeper, and sort of steep. The back side may be good for skiers, but on the snowboard, it is a walk back. The good side is that the tickets are very cheap, and there are hardly any crowds. The day that I spent there I was riding straight to the lift chair every time, and that gave me a lot of short runs (since the mountain is not very large.)
