Fun Family Weekend 01/17/2011 by: Anonymous Skiing, snowboarding, and Tubing-Oh My! A good time was had by all on Sunday at Snowcreek. The cold weather provided snowmaking supreme! Every part of the ski area was being enjoyed. The Snowmonster program was bustling with some children running race gates. NASTAR was busy with racers challenging themselves to better their race times. Ski and snowboard lessons were non-stop providing many with their first taste of how much fun skiing/riding can be. The terrain park was jumping, railing, and spinning as riders perfect their moves. One comment I overheard from a young skier was, "I thought this was going to be scary, but it's more fun than I thought it would be." Snowcreek, an oasis of winter snowsports just a short trip north of Kansas City! We really enjoyed it!

Happy Birthday NSCD! 02/07/2010 by: Anonymous Pieces of sheet cakes were cut and devoured today at Snowcreek. The reason? Celebration of the 40th birthday of NSCD (National Sports Center for the Disabled)! Many skiers with all types of disabilities learned to ski and continued to improve their skiing skills thanks to the dedicated staff and instructors at NSCD. The smiles on the faces of the skiers and their families tell the story. Skiing is a fun, enjoyable sport!

Field trips rock at Snowcreek! 02/05/2010 by: Anonymous Over 200 students from three schools in Kansas and Missouri learned to ski today at Snowcreek. Excitement and enthusiasm was obvious when the students who tried this amazing sport for the first time begin their lessons. A few were a little worried and nervous about whether they would be able to do it, but soon those fears were put to rest when they slid down the hill on their skis for the first time. Lots of smiles and "Way to gos" made the students realize that they were doing fine. After lunch most returned to the snow to practice what they've learned, and by the time they were leaving in the afternoon they were talking about the next time they would come back to Snowcreek. Field trips rock at Snowcreek!

Temps Drop and Snow Falls 12/26/2009 by: Anonymous The slopes opened today to the sound of snowcats grooming the rain battered base at Snow Creek. As the day passed the cold rain turned to freezing rain, sleet, and finally that beautiful white stuff! With a winter storm warning with wind and snow, tomorrow evening when the slopes reopen, it should be with a great natural snow cover that should last for a while since the temperature has dropped in the area from 35 to 15 degrees. Bundle up and Merry Christmas! Let's ski!

A Good Night at Snow Creek 12/18/2009 by: Anonymous As I arrived on the parking lot, I could sense the excitement of the riders as they changed into their snow clothes, grabbed their gear, and headed for the slopes. The resort was preparing to open for the evening, with a shorter session, but that will change tomorrow as they enter the Christmas holiday schedule. It was a warm day (in the 40s), but with the recent cold weather Snow Creek was able to make plenty of snow to open all of their lifts and runs. As the sun set, and the temperature dropped, those who had ventured out to Snow Creek this evening were not disappointed. There was plenty of packed powder, and no lift lines to enjoy a quick run down the slopes, ride and catch air in the terrain park, or slide on the tube in Tornado Alley. It was a good night at Snow Creek.

Snow Creek. MO01/19/2009 by: Mr Cole I have had terrible experiences at Snow Creek. The instructors are excellent but the company is badly run and the attitude of the two executives in charge is simply one of contempt for customers. They are: Linda Grenier Dave Grenier My family will never go there again and I would encourage others to not do so either.

Winter Blast Starts New Season with a Smile! 12/17/2007 by: Kathy Peironnet The smiling faces on kids young and older told the story at Snow Creek this past Sunday. Thanks to a period of below-zero temperatures topped with actual real snow allowed this local favorite destination, nestled in the bluffs just north of Kansas City, to open as scheduled on the 15th. The ski school was bustling with new and returning students. A brand new building that houses the "Ski Monster" program (ages 3-5) looks like a wonderful addition to the area. It's warm environment, complete with animal print curtains, pint-sized tables and chairs, and even a video screen for reviewing ski videos, made me wish I could learn to ski here!
