Beautiful trails. well taken care of....first visit and will definitely be back...the mountain scenery is pristine...trails were somewhat hard to find with the directional wooden signs, even with the trail map. They are not specific in where they point at the start across the lake. Excellent day of skiing and enjoyed being on snow in Jersey!

Great conditions were had right after the snow storm that was predicted to dump more snow. I saw about 4 inches to my eye of new stuff. However there was no ice over the top as was seen by others in Bergen and Passaic counties. Most trails were lightly used in the early part of the day. The grooming job was great considering that there was old ice underneath. They even opened up the Steeny Kill Trail, somewhat marbley at the very top. Chainsaw was used to clear 2 downed trees blocking Cedar Swamp Trail, but very worth skiing. Excellent coverage overall. The elevation made the difference with this last big storm. Give it a try this season. Both the web site and phone calls had accurate conditions on the morning of Jan 11th.

What an awesome day trip! All we had to do was wear the right clothes...lots of layers! They have rental equipment (for both x-c skiing and snow-shoeing); they have snacks, fruit, hot soup, beef stew, and hot chocolate; they have water bottles and gator-ade; they even have a fireplace where you can warm your toes! There are kilometers of groomed trails over all different levels of terrain, and the views are magnificent!
