Fun at Stowe
Posted on 02/22/2009 by: GErald Phelan

A giant resort, Stowe offers almost everything you need for a good time. There's a wide variety of skiing challenges, a couple of base lodges, peak restaurants, eating and lodging facilities. The main lodge is old and like most others, you are always going up and down stairs. Stowe is worse in this regard as one must climb several flights of stairs from the lodge to get to the lifts. The new lodge at Spruce Mt area sports adirondack furniture and huge equipment lockers. No stairs! what a concept! Hopefully the main lodge will receive the upgrade it needs in the near future. Maybe we'll even ge some reasonably priced food too!

I do wish the lift attendants at the gondola would be more proactive. Its anoying to see 4 or 6 persons in an 8 person gondola. Still, the overall experience gets my vote for a return trip.
