Cute old style backyard hill
Posted on 01/12/2009 by: Anonymous

This is reminiscent of those small 'townie' hill ski areas that I remember seeing as a kid. It has 2 double chair lifts to get you to the top of 4-5 trails. Also a little bar lift over at the learning area. Lots of little kids learning with their parents. The chairlift crew was attentive our young ones as they were learning to use the chairlifts. New snow was groomed adequately to make a pleasant day. Restrooms were clean. Staff was polite and helpful. Food was basic and incredibly inexpensive. $2.50 got me a hot dog, fries and a hot chocolate! If you want a fun, cheap place to spend a morning or afternoon with your little kids, this is the place! There were no 'too cool ' attitudes from the local teen crowd either. Everyone was happy! $17 ticket got me an afternoon of fun.

Tubing Too!
Posted on 11/24/2003 by: Anonymous

I forgot to include this little piece of info in my prior review, This "hill" also has tubing, last time I was there, they were testing a new tubing system out with newer tubes that you can steer with two side handles that dug into the snow to slow down that side, resulting in the tube moving to the opposite direction of the handle pulled. It looked cool, but I was feeling "too cool" to do it with all of the little kids and admit that ii had fun haha.

Not For Advanced Riders

This resort is not much bigger than my backyard, which isn't big... It is mainly a learner's hill (I say hill b/c that's all it is) There are no slopes harder than a green dot (considering there are only two runs). It is over-run by little kids from local schools. This is a great place to learn on your own (you wont be embarrassed, it's only little kids), They have rentals for skis and boards. I don't remember if they snowmake, but I think they do. Overall, this is a great place, if your just learning or if your 8 years old, but no more than that.
