Whiteface Mountain Reviews

Ski conditions are good. But bundle up for Whiteface and bring the toe and hand warmers because unless it is in the 40's it will be cold. Plenty of places to eat, drink and be merry. It is great for families and singles!

Went up to Whiteface Saturday 1-11-13. The mountain looked to be fully open. Lots of hard packed powder but, also some trails were very icy depending on which side of the mountain you were on. Received word that the Slides were open by the guys running the gondola. But, was told we needed a beacon. Checked facebook from my phone later to see they lied and no beacon was required. By the time we got to the peak at 2pm the slides were already closed even though we could see several people riding on them from the lift ride up. Was a little disappointed by that but, still had a good time. That will give me reason to keep going back there until I get a chance on the slides.

Made our first trip to Whiteface last year and fell in love with the mountain, Planning to visit again this January. If you cannot make it west, Whiteface is is the next best thing. Plenty of places to stay in Lake Placid and above average restaurants. Friendly community and I enjoyed talking to all of the local skiers.

I skied on Friday and Saturday, March 13 and 14th and had a great time. It was a little icy but was melting on Saturday.

Whiteface is by far the best mountain in NYS. Great trails. Views are awesome.

it is a great place to go it snows all the time and it is groomed all the time you have a fun time there and a lakeplacid. i go to white face every year and snowboard it is the best place i have ever went to
