Ringing in the New Year!

For New Years, i decided to hit up Ski Bowl for my first time, and it was pretty fun. The people there were all really cool, and there was a lot of terrain to choose from for night Skiing. The snow was good and the New Years fireworks were pretty decent as well. The only draw back i found, was the website posted that the price for the pass was going to be $29 and when i arrived it was $45. And on top of that they charge $5 for parking which is bit much, considering a lot of the other mountains in Oregon you can park for free. But for Skiing into the New year and being able to ride until 2 in the morning, Ski Bowl was fun and i would reccomend it for night riding, especially on New Years eve! |

Good cheap option

The place is cheap, but you basically get what you pay for. I do really like some of the runs they have here though, and the night skiing is fun. Nice alternative to Mt Hood Meadows if you want cheaper lift tickets and shorter lines. |

Crusty, but well lit

I have only been once to ride at night. The night was a punishing affair (and I was pretty new), because of the freshly frozen icy crust. There are no express lifts, but there were also no lines and no waiting. The lit area is large, and there are some good steep drops. The park is sizeable, but I didn't try it, as I was new and all, but looked like a decent set up - just don't miss that hit. |
