![]() 02/10/2012 by: David Steep and narrow! Lots of turns - the hips are sore! Skied it this morning after 4"+ inches of snow last night and the conditions were dynimite. Bluebird day with no lift lines. It's a diamond in the rough, with a little rough still left. Similar to some of the small Maine and NH resorts. Lined with stunning cottages and chalets - very scenic.

![]() 02/22/2010 by: Christi This is a technical skier's mountain. The double black runs are all moguls. There are no wide open trails to put the hammer down. It's a fabulous place to improve skills, but if you're not into bumps skiing, it lacks options. I did like the bowl at the entry to on black daimond, Stembogen. The only other blacks is under a chair lift, a narrow but fun catwalk. The blues are not challenging. There is a reason there are no pictures of the lodge, a low slung building built around 40 years ago and never improved...dark and dank. VERY nice staff and friendly folks abound. Worth checking out, but not for everyone. The lifts are slow, but lines short.

![]() 12/26/2008 by: Anonymous Compared to other resorts in the mid-Atlantic states, Blue Knob is one of the better mountains in regards to variety of terrain and vertical rise. It is rarely crowded. They offer a 4-hour lift ticket in addition to other ticketing options. Nastar is popular and is usually runs on the weekends. It can be windy and the conditions are usually "hard-packed." Mid January through February is the best time to go because most of the trails are open. Early season you're limited to about 25% of trails being skiable. This is an inverted mountain in that you park your car at the top and ski down. The lodge has decent food. Typical lodge food: french fries, nachos, sandwiches, burgers, yogurt, etc. The bar is located in the same area. During the day it is a restaurant/tavern and sometimes they serve a buffet or different selections then the "cafeteria" style lodge food. Lockers are available. There is a ski shop on-site. Bathrooms are roomy and average in cleanliness.

![]() 01/28/2005 by: Mike Compared to any other PA resort BK is by far the best one. Its trails are all challenging no matter what level skier/boarder you are. Mambo Alley is an excellent trail to learn on. It is always less crowded than somewhere like seven springs. BK is definitely the best in PA.
