Perisher Ski Resort Terrain
Perisher now boasts an amazing capacity of 53,903 skiers per hour (the most in Australia). With a total of 50 lifts both surface and chairs. Four terrain parks are on offer, from seriously challenging advanced parks to a fun park for those starting out. Also, a super half pipe and a freestyle mogul course which is home to the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia’s Mogul Team. This is complemented by Australia’s biggest grooming fleet producing quality corduroy finishes to over 100 designated trails in the resort. Not to mention the 53 hectares of snowmaking and 271 snow guns. So between machine made and natural snowfalls there is always plenty of snow! When it gets dark outside, its time to light up front valley and the big 8 seat chair for night skiing and boarding (Tues and Sat nights.) Or, try our first tracks program on Mt Perisher. What's New This Season at Perisher Ski Resort
New snowmaking improvements have delivered more reliable and consistent snow in key high traffic areas of Front Valley and from the Mid Station of the Express Quad down. The resort now boasts over $500,000 of additional hire equipment for the various Perisher Snowsports Hire outlets and a Prinoth Bison X snow-grooming machine to modernise Australia’s biggest grooming fleet. The Happy Valley T-bar has also been extended making the return access from Mt Perisher easier.Information last updated 06/11/2010.
