About Buena Vista
Founded by Leonard Dickinson in 1936, Buena Vista Ski Area is a family resort that is located on the beautiful Continental Divide. 9 lakes are visible from the top of Continental. This resort boasts a spacious, 3 story Chalet with Fireplaces, the Continental Dining Cafe, rental/repair shop, gift shop and ski school. Visitors enjoy 16 downhill runs, 4 chairlifts, a tubing park, 2 terrain parks, 25K groomed, cross country trails, horse-drawn sleigh rides, and more! Visit the Buena Vista Village featuring a schoolhouse, log church, 2 train cars, a caboose, and a Lumberjack Hall of Fame Museum. Near the village is the Buena Vista Ranch, housing over 10 head of horses.
